So, I recently read an article where It listed the 14 most annoying trends in Photography.  One of them was long exposures of water, something that I enjoyed, and did a lot.  At first I though that it was off base, that it shows that a picture was well thought out...  Then I realized how shallow the concept was.  When it went on to say that it was a fall trap of pro photographers, who wind up selling their work in malls for 400 dollars to bosses who hang them in offices, in an office where nobody likes them... for some reason i found that to be fairly accurate...  I don't know why but that was a swift kick in the ass that I needed.

Its a either a sign of the times, the bad economy, or both.  Film labs are disappearing at an alarming rate, making traditional film, especially medium or large format almost impossible to work with.  Its too expensive and turn around time from mailing to labs is too long.  It makes me a little sad because in today's world, things have to happen instantly, or people lose interest and walk away.  I remember when I shot with film I knew how the photograph was going to look before I ever processed it.  I hate to sound like I'm tooting my own horn, perhaps I am, but it took more than a passing thought to take a photograph.  Now people click, prin

Its really hard to find good metal reels, especially 120 reels.  I've bought probably 2 from 4 different websites and they were all the same, bent reels.  Now at first I thought that I could get away with it, but now my film sticks to itself when I develop it.  What I'm trying to say is that I'm working on some new stuff, but I can't develop for now, new work will hopefully be on the way.
